U.S. Ambassador visits IADC office

Last week, the Institute of Anthropology (IADC) was pleased to welcome Joe Donnelly, U.S. Ambassador to the Holy See and Sarah Tatum, Political-Economic Officer.

Ambassador Donnelly, who has served as the U.S. ambassador to the Holy See since 2022, and Ms. Tatum met with Father Hans Zollner, IADC director at our office in Rome Jan. 11.

Their visit provided an opportunity for Father Hans and staff members to share about the IADC's work, its history, and its mission of making the world a safer place through our academic endeavors.

It was “wonderful to speak with Father Zollner to learn more about the important work his Institute is doing to safeguard children and adults from sexual abuse,” Ambassador Donnelly said.

For his part, Father Zollner said, “I am grateful for Ambassador Donnelly’s visit to the IADC and his interest in our work of creating a safer church and a safer world.”
