IADC Alumna leads Safeguarding Seminar for Protestant Churches in Czech Republic
Martina Vintrova, an alumna of the Institute of Anthropology (IADC), led a two-day seminar on Safeguarding at the Faculty of Theology of the University of South Bohemia in Ceske Budejovice (Czech Republic).
The majority of the participants were members of several Protestant churches in the country who will serve as contact persons for victims in their respective communities. Among those who
participated was the General Secretary of the Ecumenical Council of Churches in the Czech Republic.
The Protestant churches in the Czech Republic are working to promote a Safeguarding culture in their communities and Martina , as well as fellow IADC alumnus Marek Drabek, are a part of that effort. “I am very happy with the cooperation with the Protestant churches,” Martina said, adding that next week she will lead a seminar for members of the pastoral councils of one of the Protestant churches in attendance.
