Dr. Rosato is a cultural anthropologist with expertise in safeguarding who specialises in the intersection of trauma, space, and identity. He investigates how traumatic events influence the perception and experience of tangible and digital places. By employing a mixed-methods approach that includes qualitative interviews and visual ethnography, his research at the IADC aims to uncover the multifaceted impacts of child sexual abuse (CSA) on survivors’ safety and sense of place (e.g. the home).
His work aims to contribute to trauma-informed practices, effective safeguarding strategies, and the design of safe spaces.
