Dr. Gabriele Rosato
research fellows
Dr. Rosato is a cultural anthropologist investigating how the cultural experience shapes the inhabited space and how humans live and describe that environment. He is concerned with what makes a place (tangible and digital) culturally safe. His research at the IADC focuses on the perception and representation of spaces (e.g. the home) for survivors of childhood abuse. His investigation incorporates a mixed-methods approach (interviews and visual ethnography) to capture CSA (child sexual abuse) trauma’s multifaceted effects on survivors’ spatiality and domesticity.
