CCP Partners: Presentation of the E-Learning program to formators of the Missionaries of Africa (White Fathers)
On April 5th I had the pleasure of holding a presentation session of the CCP's e-learning program, addressed to those responsible for the formation of the Missionaries of Africa. The congregation of the White Fathers has been actively collaborating with the CCP for several years, thanks to the commitment and dedication of Fr. Stéphane Joulain M. Afr. (Coordinator for Integrity in Ministry).
Fr. Stéphane Joulain has already led many training sessions in several African countries (Kenya, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast), often with the support of the doctorate students and collaborators of the CCP Sr. Mary Lembo, CSC, and Sr Rejoice Hoedoafia, SOLT.
Among other initiatives, the project we are working on at the moment is to integrate the online training of the CCP for the prevention of sexual abuse of minors with the formation of the congregation, in order to provide those who wish to enter the community some of the appropriate tools to act in a way to prevent abuse and to know how to intervene positively and effectively where unfortunately there may be cases.
In this context, the morning of April 5th was an opportunity to introduce our future collaborators to the program and its pedagogical approach, to review its contents, and to show how it works.
Working with international partners in different countries of the world, usually the only way to get together and discuss is through web-conferences; for this reason, I am really grateful whenever I have the opportunity to personally meet our collaborators — the people and stories that build our network. A network made of different cultures, experiences, and traditions. But with a common goal: the good of our children.
