The seminary of the Đakovo-Osijek Archdiocese in Croatia held a study day for seminarians organized by Dr Josip Bošnjaković, professor of psychology on Catholic Faculty of Theology in Đakovo, and Marina Šijaković, CCP Diploma Alumna.

Dr. Josip Bošnjaković’s gave a lecture entitled "Protection, dignity and abuse of children" and Marina Šijaković spoke on the topic “Identifying signs of sexual abuse and prevention". The seminarians were given an introduction to the topic of protection of minors, and they received summary of what is being done in the Church on this question.

Through small group workshops lead by Marina Šijaković, the seminarians were helped to recognize different signs of sexual abuse of minors, e.g. over the Internet and social networks and in different establishments. After the workshops, a discussion followed, where leaders answered numerous questions asked by seminarians. In November, lectures on these topics will be held as ongoing formation for young priests.
