The Institute opens new offices at Villa Malta
On 15 June 2022, The Safeguarding Institute (IADC) of the Pontifical Gregorian University will hold a graduation ceremony for the students of its Spanish-language Diploma in Safeguarding programme. The ceremony will honor 22 students from 12 countries: Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Slovenia, Spain, and Uruguay. The graduates will serve their local communities in various capacities in the field of safeguarding.
After the ceremony, the Institute will inaugurate its new offices at Villa Malta. The move to a new location reflects the vision which provided impetus for the transformation of the Centre for Child Protection (CCP) into the Institute of Anthropology (IADC), also known as The Safeguarding Institute. The IADC is endeavouring to broaden and deepen its research aims and programmes in order to proactively advance scientific reflection on human dignity and the care of vulnerable persons. The larger space will accommodate the expansion of the Institute’s activities and its growing faculty and team of collaborators.
For over 70 years, Villa Malta has also been the headquarters of La Civiltà Cattolica, the oldest Italian-language periodical, published by the Society of Jesus since 1850.
